ABC Wednesday - the letter G

I have had to schedule this post as I am away on holiday for a week.

Goldfinch

These photographs were taken in the spring.

Isn't he/she beautiful!

Also, today is my youngest grandson's 1st birthday - Happy birthday Matthew. I haven't seen him since he was about a month old as he lives in Australia but apparently he is a real live wire. He has been walking for a couple of months, loves everyone and is full of fun.

The Goldfinch is very beautiful. I have seen some fly through my yard but only got one very poor photo. Your photos are great.

Ahhh - one year old - such a gorgeous age.
I like goldfinches and we used to have many visiting our feeders but they have been rare for the last couple of years - hope it's not a sign of decline. They are pretty - like little clowns.

Goldfinches are one of our prettiest birds but they are rare around here in Devon.
Hope you had a good holiday

Your Goldfinches are such neat looking birds...even though they are not golden. So many colors in them...amazing. Happy Birthday, Matthew!
