Delightful creatures - they have such lovely faces. This first picture was taken whilst we were visiting Dundees in Adelaide, Australia.
and this one of Donkeys' Dinner was taken on our local beach. For the past two decades husband has run a local Donkey Derby during the summer holidays to raise money for charity. Depending on the weather they usually raise about £1500 on each of the six weeks.

I have always loved donkeys and mules...we have a mule that comes to visit now and again, sweet faced bay mule (they're usually grey of course, but this one is a lovely ruddy colored jenny). We keep hay to feed her and she allows me to rub her ears and blow into her nostrils like friends are wont to do...thanks for sharing Anne
I think they are cute too. In fact, when we were in Hawaii visiting a Coffee Plantation, I got to close to the Donkey pin, and got a bite right on the boob!!

I adore donkeys, they were very much a part of my childhood at the seaside and there was one I used to pass every day on the way to school. Lovely pictures Ann and how sweet of your husband to volunteer his time like that.
