ABC Wednesday - W

W is for Windmill

This is Ashton Windmill, fairly close to where we live. The sails of this 18th century mill were damaged in a storm a few years ago but have now been repaired.

Thanks to Mrs Denise Nesbitt and the ABC Wednesday team. For more looks at the letter W, please click here.

Terrific shot - might be the first template for the wind turbines which are getting so much play in this area!

I think windmills are so beautiful. I have a picture of one that hung in my mother's home when I was growing up.

What a gorgeous picture! The old mill is very beautiful, but you've taken an absolutely smashing shot of it! The colours and the composition are so lovely!
