Oh, gosh, the donkeys bring back memories! First of my own childhood holidays in Devon, and also of when my own children were small and we lived near Clacton on Sea. Often as we drove home on a summer evening, we'd see the seaside donkeys going home in a long string.

Now we see ponies more often than donkeys. Our local country park has them there for pony rides in the summer.

These are great. It wasn't until I looked at these that I realize how our beaches are actually cluttered with lifeguard stations all along the beach. I don't have one single shot of a beach this open, with no structures in the sand. What a difference.
