Back to square one!

Hopes of selling our house fairly soon have been dashed.

I think I mentioned that the first couple who made a good offer are not yet in a position to proceed with the purchase as they have to sell their own property. The second couple, with whom negotiations were under way, came back for a second viewing and then withdrew their offer because they have decided they would like a larger, Victorian style house!

Oh well. Sigh!

Oh no! Selling & buying a house is full of stress. Probably even worse in the economic crisis that we find ourselves in today.
Hope you do manage to sell to the next suitable person who views. Fingers crossed.

Maggie - strangely enough, not too disappointed although we had started looking for something else and found a couple of possibilities. As you say, fingers crossed. A x

Cezar and Leia - You are right - it will all turn out OK and the "special" family will come along one day. A x

Cynthia - hopefully not too much longer now! A x

Sorry to hear about collapse of sale. You will probably find another opportunity and things will turn out better than expected both on the sale and purchase. Good luck and thinking of you.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that.

We want to move, but had decided that we'd wait until the housing market got going again. I was quite encouraged by your success!

I'm sure now that the market is beginning to stir someone else will put an offer in soon. Fingers crossed!

Well at least the first ones are still interested. The market may be picking up with the good weather coming so keeping everything crossed for you!

Lindsay - thank you for your kind thoughts. It obviously wasn't meant and it will happen when the time is right. A x

Jay - again, thank you. We are encouraged though by the fact that there has been more interest in the past few weeks than all of last year! A x

Winifred - yes, all is not lost! As you say better weather may bring more interest. Thanks for thoughts.

I completely sympathise with you SJA. We may have to put this small house on the market but I've no idea whether it will sell quickly or not. Isn't this just stomach churning at the moment? Hope all goes well for you and my fingers are well and truly crossed for you!

ps: word verification is "augurr" that's a good sign....

House moving is so stressful. I don't know anybody who has managed it without problems. Commiserations.

I'm sorry it didn't go through as I know from experience how exciting but stressful the whole ordeal is.
Keep your chin up missus. XXX

It's a terrible market. The new upgrade is staying put! But if you have to move, it can be a tricky and depressing time to do so.

Must be such a roller coaster for you. Fingers crossed!
