Skywatch Friday
This is a photograph taken in December of the sky above the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford upon Avon. Major work is being done to transform the theatre and is scheduled to be completed in 2010.

Hi Anne, the great theater gets a face lift. It will be wonderful when it is finished. The picture is pretty, work in progress under a soft wintry sky.
Great photograph! I was in Stratford-upon-Avon in May 1987 when my friend and I backed from London, to Wales, and then to Dublin, and Galway and then back to London again.
I was busy taking photos of ducks swimming in the water there!
Happy SWF!
Lovely tranquil photo. It brings back memories of a school visit to Stratford-upon-Avon after I had taken my 'O' levels.
That's a lovely photo. Must go there sometime.
Stratford always bring a smile to my face. We picnicked on the riverbank when suddenly a student rode a bicycle straight into theriger going full tilt! Have not laughted so much in years. It transpired it was for a five pound bet.
Nice Shot.
That brings back memories Anne. Great photograph.
Oh that is neat, me and dh visited Statford the year before we married in 1982, brings back super memories......

Dear Anne, please keep sending the photos of the work as it gets done. What a wonderful theater, so glad that they're doing this.
Hugs
Sandi
Thanks to all for your comments. Good to know too that some of you have visited the lovely town and know it for yourselves. I go frequently as my daughter lives there - in fact her house is about a 10 minutes walk from where I took the photo. So, as Sandi requested I will post photos from time to time and you will see how the work is progressing.
I'll be sure to keep a look out for students riding bicycles full tilt into the river too Arija. How funny.

The photo is great! We were in Stratford for a walk, last year and parked near the theatre. It was total chaos, but I'm sure that it will all be worth it, in the end.
Mean Mom - chaos is the word. I find it surprising that the gardens, which were beautiful, have just been dug up and left in such a mess. Would have thought that at least if they were completed the area wouldn't look so awful. Very much looking forward to seeing it finished. Imagine the residents are too. A x
How nice to see such a famous place! Great sky!
