Knoll - n - a small hill or mound.
Brent Knoll is a village about 4 miles away from where I live and it surrounds the hill you see in the pictures. The Knoll is a great landmark and it is always a pleasure to finally see it when we return from our travels as it means we are definitely on the home stretch.
This view is taken from our bedroom window.
At Easter the local clergy hold a special service at the top of the hill and three crosses are erected there. They are visible from the main roads and the motorway and will remain there until the weekend after Easter. This event has taken place for the past 15 years. You can read more about it here

Lovely view from your bedroom. It must be very comforting to see that knoll and know you're nearly home again.
What a lovely knoll! I do miss the English countryside. And sheep believe it or not (we don't have them in Ohio)
Beautiful views.
I wonder will you be going up the knoll to the service? That would be very impressive to see the crosses from a distance.

The scene with the sheep looks so tranquil. I'm sure the Easter service is a very moving experience in that setting.
What a beautiful view from your bedroom! Love the knoll and the sheep! Such a peaceful looking place! Marvelous post and photos for the K day -- as always! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Great choice for Easter service!
On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you!
Great views from your house! I would love to attend a service on the knoll...and take photos from up there also...
Surely a lovely view from your window! Beautifully peaceful knoll and the Easter celebration sounds quite exotic!
Beautiful! It's nice to know there are hills somewhere in the world, it's so dratted FLAT around here!
I know exactly what you mean about seeing the hill and knowing you're nearly home, too.
