ABC Wednesday - S
While we were in Vancouver earlier this year we visited Gastown and were intrigued by this lovely Steam Clock. According to Wikipedia it was built in 1977 and is powered by a steam engine.
As you can see I took this video of it at 4 pm. I had to put it on YouTube as I had difficulty uploading it to my blog.
Thanks to Mrs Denise Nesbitt and the ABC Wednesday team who host this each week. To see more of the letter S, please click here.

Fascinating post for the S Day, Anne! What an interesting clock! One of the things I love about blogging and the different memes is how much you have the opportunity to learn about other parts of the world! Terrific! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

Well, my goodness... A steam clock. What a clever and unusual post.
A great choice for S, Anne.
That's the coolest clock I have ever seen (except for Big Ben of course). Great post Anne! X
How fascinating - great one for S day.
Great photo and video. I never realize there is such a thing as a steam clock.

Very unique and lovely!!!
S is for Santa
Quite a fascinating clock. I remember seeing that many years ago when we visited that area.
What a great clock, loved the video. Surprising that it is relatively modern, it the sort of thing the 19th century industrialists loved.
We saw this clock when we were in Vancouver 2 years ago. It was interesting reading about its history.
Have a wonderful week Anne!
I've never heard of a steam clock before. It was so lovely to hear it "chiming", I felt I wanted to hug it for its effort.
What a hoot, I absolutely love that clock. Thanks for sharing the photo and the video Anne. Maybe we will see it one day as we would love to go back to the northwest and visit Vancouver this time.
