Time to Sleep

Our friends left after the annual firework display last evening. A good show, it lasted for about 20 minutes and heralded the carnival celebrations in the town.

Husband and I cleared up then sat down to watch the final episode of "Downton Abbey", a period drama we have been watching for the past 7 weeks. Following that was Piers Morgan's interview with Susan Boyle. H went on to bed but as tired as I was I stayed up to watch it as, along with thousands of her fans, I am so glad for her that she is living her dream. What a wonderful voice she has. It is always a pleasure to hear it.

I went to bed around mid-night and then I just couldn't sleep which is not like me at all. I got up again and finally, finally, went back to bed at 3 am and slept.

What a wonderful way to end my day, listening to the glorious Susan and she has really become a butterfly, so lovely to look at as well as to listen to. I love her rendition of Cry me a River!
Wish I could have enjoyed the fireworks, but Christmas will be upon us soon (or so say the merchants) and we'll have them then!
hugs

Susan Boyle is developing all the time - well done to her.
I hope you sleep better tonight.

I saw that interview with Piers Moran too. It was refreshing to see that athough fame has changed her a little (hair, clothes etc) she is still the same inside - childishly innocent, matter-of-fact and obviously careful with her money (that house she has bought looked so modest). It is so good to see someone so "ordinary" doing well.

I thoroughly enjoyed Downton Abbey too, tho it obviously had a lot of "Upstairs, Downstairs" about it too. I should think it'll go down well in the USA.

Sorry you could not sleep. Maybe too much late-night TV is the culprit! ;)

I must say I too am a fan of Susan Boyle's singing. Looking forward to getting her new cd.
